METHOD

HOW IT ALL WORKS - Get (up close and) personal! At LANG, we like to discuss the initial concept and design through the stages with the most important person; you. Once you’re happy, we’ll get crackin’! Whether you’ve sent us a jacket of your own, or you’ve seen something you fancy from the jackets we've sourced and striped ready for you, the method remains the same in 4 simple stages.

First and foremost – You select the coloured yarn which will be done in either LANG’s signature 3-triangle-design, or you can totally customise it as you wish. The yarn used is 100% recycled and made from unwanted t-shirts and recycled natural fibres.

And away we go - the jacket is stripped back. Whatever inner lining was there before will be gone – buh bye!

The jacket itself, with much consideration, will then be cut into by hand. No laser cutting here. This will allow room to create a loom.

Once the vertical lines are cut into the existing material, your chosen coloured yarn will then be woven in. Again, by hand. An ancient technique in which we trust, applied in an entirely new way, creating a pseudo loom from the jacket itself. Exciting huh? We thought so too, so much so we have a patent pending on it.

To finish off we glue down the original facing catching in the pocket bags. Then a good clean up and wipe down.
